Hey, we all know that first morning look in the mirror can set your confidence back a mile, but next time take a closer look and then watch this video. You might not view yourself so harshly.
Now, just because someone has a bad photo taken, or looks a little bedraggled at times doesn't mean she is not still beautiful. But these photos are a reminder that even celebrities have off-days and aren't nearly as glamorous without the makeup and glitz. Sometimes we compare ourselves to impossible ideals when the truth is, not even these guys can live up to their own images all the time.

Pond's Clean Sweep Cleansing and Makeup Removing Towelettes

I just read that sleeping in your makeup can add seven minutes to your age! I don't know if that's true or accurate, but we all know that leaving makeup on skin will clog pores and keep skin from being able to breathe as well as dull your complexion. Plus, the longer it stays on, the harder it is to remove.
Too tired to spend a lot of time on removing your makeup and cleansing your face before you collapse into bed at night? I have found the perfect solution. Pond's, one of the most famous names in skin care and cold cream, now makes convenient towlettes that not only remove makeup in seconds but are good for your skin.
Pond's Clean Sweep, Cleansing & Makeup Removing Towelettes will easily remove makeup with one sweep while cleansing your face. They contain ingredients that will nourish and protect skin, like vitamin E, chamomile and a triple tea antioxidant complex. They are hypoallergenic so they won't irritate sensitive skin. A 30 ct. package can be had for under $6 but Walgreen's has a 15 ct package for $3.29 if you want to give them a try.

Go Bronze
It's Memorial Day Weekend, the traditional start of the summer season. Are you ready to show off your new summer look, including makeup?
The most obvious sign of summer is a sunkissed glow, but if you don't want to risk your skin by tanning or dealing with messy self-tanners, there's only one easy way to go - bronzers.
Now is the time to give your face a sunny look by adding a subtle bronzer to your makeup routine. Choosing the right bronzer is the key to looking healthy and glowing as opposed to orange and blotchy.
First, don't choose a bronzer that is too dark for your complexion. You won't look more tanned, and it won't look natural. Secondly, don't choose a bronzer that is wrong for your skin tones. If you have a natural golden undertone to your skin, it is fine to choose a golden bronzer but if your skin has pink undertones, it will look fake and orangey. It won't look more tan, just phony.
Never apply bronzer directly over foundation as it will go on unevenly and look blotchy. For this reason, the mineral bronzers and mineral powder foundations can work together amazingly well.
Always use a large, soft brush to apply bronzer and apply it in light layers. A good rule is to stop just before you think you have enough, and check the look in natural daylight. Chances are, another application will make it too dark.
Whatever your plans for the holiday weekend, choose a great bronzer and you will look sunkissed and beautiful.

Tooth Tattoos - the newest trend in body art
Tattooing, piercing and body art has become more trendy and acceptable as a form of self-expression and fashion and not only is increasing in popularity but expanding into new areas.
Tooth tattoos are the latest crazy in body art and what's more, they are real works of art created by artist Steve Heward. These tiny portraits of famous people are created specifically to put on molars.
Fancy a portrait of Princess Diana or David Beckham on your back teeth? Heward also has famous historical figures like Washington and Lincoln available. Tooth tattoos that are done on molars cannot be seen unless the bearer decides to share by displaying them. Unlike skin tattoos, these are easily removed by a dentist in about five minutes.
For information and photos of all of the tooth tattoos available, check out the homepage at toothartist.com.

$20,000 Home Makeover from Renuzit and Tanya Memme
I've just been to the semi-finalist gallery at the Renuzit TriScents "Transform Your Home with Tanya Memme" contest. In case you haven't heard of it yet, it's a video essay contest with a $20,000 home makeover from Tanya Memme, host of A&E's "Sell this House" as the prize. I only wish I had an entry, but because I know how much a home makeover can mean to a family, I definitely want to encourage you to go and vote for your favorite entry.
Some of the entries are clever and some just tear at your heart. Possibly the best done video features a remarkably articulate 3 year old girl reciting a poem about the state of her home since her baby triplet siblings arrived. Another very clever entry shows a family's home being transformed from "rotten, rotten, rotten" to a fragrant meadow where the family appear as the flora and fauna.
I had to pick one though, which was really difficult as there were several I felt were so worthy. I wanted almost everyone, including me, to win (although I don't have an entry). But if we are to judge on the quality of the entry alone, I have to go with little Ashley.
You can go and see all the entries at http://www.triscents.com/gallery.asp and vote for your favorite. You can vote once per day up until June 7.

Latest in Beauty
With the price of cosmetics these days, wouldn't it be great if you could try out the products before buying? And not just the samples that beauty companies give out with purchases, you know, the ones that are never the right color for you anyway.
Finally, someone has come up with a great idea for a website
that lets you try all the newest products before you buy and get products and colors that match your skin tone and preferences.
At Latest in Beauty, all you do is sign up as a member, fill out a beauty profile and then choose your product testers. The only thing required is £1 to contribute towards shipping and handling, about $2 USD. Unfortunately, Latest in Beauty, is currently only open for members in the UK but perhaps if the response is positive enough, soon those of us in the US will have our own branch.
You can check it out here.

The Price of Beauty is Higher than Gas
While we all grumble about the price of gas, this article from the Kansas State Collegian proves that many other items we gladly shell out for, are actually a lot pricier by the gallon than gas is.
For instance, if you bought Nyquil cold medicine by the gallon it would cost you $91.09. Of course that might be enough to treat a lifetime of cold symptoms.
A gallon of Bud Light is over $7 as is a gallon of Aquafina, both more than a gallon of gas but likely to be consumed just as quickly if not more so.
But here's the one that seems really unbelievable - a gallon of Cover Girl TruBlend Liquid Foundation would be $1,002.24,
I wonder how long it would take you to use a gallon of foundation makeup?
